Mazaher Kaila, Diana Rogatch, and Andrea Rojas Join Bousquet Holstein as Summer Associates

Bousquet Holstein PLLC is pleased to welcome Mazaher Kaila, Diana G. Rogatch and M. Andrea Rojas to the firm’s Summer Associate program.

Mazaher (Mazzy) Kaila is entering her final year at Syracuse University College of Law.  At Syracuse, Mazzy was elected the 2021-2022 Student Bar Association Executive President. She is a member of the Travis H.D. Lewin Advocacy Honor Society and the business editor of the Journal of International Law and Commerce, which later this year will publish her note titled, “The Global Prison System: Will the U.S. take accountability and lead in reform?”. Mazzy also served as 2020-2021 President of the Black Law Students Association. Last summer, Mazzy served as a Research Assistant to Professor Paula Johnson and has also interned for the offices of New York State Assemblyman William Magnarelli and the Onondaga County District Attorney. Mazzy is a 2019 graduate of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While an undergraduate student, she was a recipient of the Don Sawyer Award, a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity and the Black Law Student Association Pre-Law Division, and is a Gilman International Scholar alumni.

Diana G. Rogatch is entering her final year of studies at Syracuse University where she is pursuing a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree from the College of Law and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. At Syracuse she is a member of the Travis H.D. Lewin Advocacy Honor Society in the ADR and Appellate Divisions. As part of her involvement, she competed in the ABA Negotiation Competition and the Fordham National Basketball Negotiation Competition during the 2020-2021 academic year. Last fall Diana was a Judicial Extern for U.S. District Court Judge, Hon. Frederick James Scullin Jr., and previously worked as a Law Clerk and Litigation Paralegal at Sloane & Walsh, LLP in Boston, MA. Diana is a summa cum laude 2016 graduate of Suffolk University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and completed a Paralegal Certificate Program in Applied Legal Studies. While at Suffolk, Diana earned an award for excellence in legal research and writing.

Andrea Rojas will begin her second year of law school at Syracuse University College of Law this fall. At Syracuse, Andrea is a member of the First-Generation Law Student Society, Latin American Law Student Society, Women’s Law Students’ Association and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Last year she served as a Legal Assistant for the Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review and previously worked as a Legal Assistant at Jennings, Strouss and Salmon, PLC and a Junior Associate at Sphere Consulting, both in Washington, DC. Andrea is a 2018 graduate of George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a minor in Political Science. While there, she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa National Honors Society. She is also a 2016 graduate of The Honors College at Miami Dade College where she was elected President of the Alpha Mu Gamma Foreign Language Honors Society.
