Anna Putintseva

Anna Putintseva is an attorney in the Business Law and Immigration Practice Groups at the Syracuse office of Bousquet Holstein PLLC.

With expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, commercial transactions, and business immigration, Anna provides representation to businesses and individual clients on a broad range of legal issues, from advising on an appropriate entity structure, forming a company, navigating clients through all aspects of selling or buying businesses, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, to assisting businesses and individual clients regarding effective immigration options.

Prior to joining Bousquet Holstein, Anna acquired significant international experience while practicing law for over a decade at the Kyiv office of an international law firm. She advised multinational and Ukrainian companies on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and various business transactions, enabling her to assist clients with their cross-border matters.  Anna’s interest in immigration law stems from her belief in the positive impact immigrants make to American society and her desire to help people achieve their goals in the new country.  Anna prides herself in being responsive in helping each client to determine and achieve their goals.

Corporate Governance and Mergers and Acquisitions

Anna advises clients on a range of business matters, including professional entity formation, acquisitions and sales of closely held businesses and professional practices, corporate restructurings, reorganizations and dissolutions.

If you are looking to sell or buy a business, Anna can provide guidance on all stages of the transaction process, including preparation of letters of intent, asset and stock sale and purchase agreements, contract negotiation, due diligence, closing and post-closing matters.  Anna can also guide those starting a business on selecting an appropriate organizational form for their new venture, founders’ agreements, corporate governance, business licensing requirements, intellectual property (IP) protection, company policies, and ongoing legal compliance matters.

Commercial Contracts

Anna can help businesses with the preparation and negotiation of various commercial contracts, including, but not limited to, distribution, vendor, supplier, retailer, reseller agreements, consulting and service agreements, non-disclosure, non-compete, and confidentiality agreements, clinical research, collaboration and joint development agreements.

E-Commerce

As online sales of goods and services continue to replace in-store purchase experience, more businesses are moving to establish their internet presence to sell products or services exclusively online. Anna assists clients in the rapidly evolving e-commerce world, including preparing internet-related consumer legal materials, such as:

  • website terms of use governing the relationship between your business and a customer, including applicable disclaimers and/or limitation of liability provisions
  • sale and purchase terms of use, intended to form a contract between your company as a seller and a purchaser of your products or services
  • website privacy policy to advise users about your company’s practices concerning the collection, storage, use, and disclosure of information, including personal information.

Anna can also advise clients regarding promotional campaigns, sweepstakes, and contests.  She is knowledgeable on implementation of product recalls and has represented clients before the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission regarding these issues.

Immigration

Anna’s immigration law practice focuses on:

  • Representation of businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, startups, employees, and private individuals in business immigration matters before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of Labor, and at U.S. Consulates
  • Assisting individuals of extraordinary ability, academic researchers, professors, international medical graduates, and physicians in obtaining immigration benefits
  • Advising on I-9 employment eligibility verification and worksite enforcement issues
  • Planning appropriate visa strategies for transition from a student to a professional, for job and career changes
  • Matters involving: adjustment of status, treaty traders and investors (E-1, E-2), immigrant visas for professionals, advanced-degree individuals, multinational managers and executives, skilled workers, religious workers and EB-5 investors (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-4, EB- 5), PERM labor certification, temporary work visas (H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-1, E-2, and E-3) and naturalization

I was recently denied approval to travel for some important upcoming meetings in the United States on the Visa Waiver program and thus needed a skilled attorney that fully understood Immigration Law to assist me with overcoming the denial and obtaining a business visa to the United States.  Anna Putintseva and her team assisted me with preparing a strong visa application and were able to expedite the interview by working around the clock, which resulted in the successful approval of a 10-year visa for travel to the US again. I am thankful to Anna for all her help; she and her team did a magnificent job, and, as a result, I was able to attend the important meetings in the United States. I strongly recommend Anna Putintseva to anyone who is looking for an immigration attorney. – PAE, Professor – Ontario, Canada
